Today, the following updates have been made:

1) Reputation and Points.
2) Advanced Profiles
3) Colored Usernames
4) Reorganization of forums




Reputation and Points:

You will notice by your posts and on your profile, there will be a new little thing called Reputation and one called Points. Points are gained by participating and being active on the board. In some areas on the board, you can gain more points than others. For instance: Posting a lot in story threads like those in The World section will get you one point per post and one point per topic created. Whereas, if you spend all your time posting in OOC, you won't get any points at all. By creating a clan or guild, you can get two points. You'll have to figure the rest out on your own.

Reputation is like Karma. You can now give good and bad votes to your fellow players according to your interactions with them. As with points, Karma votes can count for more in some areas of the board than others. So someone with a lot of Good reputation will probably be someone that has had mostly good experiences with other players and someone with a lot of Bad reputation is most likely someone that has displeased quite a few people. Please use this wisely, if it is abused, I'll take it away.




PROFILES:
With the new Advanced Profiles, you can:
- Write a message on the profile of a member.
- View and edit the friends list.
- View user statistics
- Contact information: You can contact the member.
- Edit most fields on your own profile.



Colored Usernames:

You may have noticed already at some point before that some usernames were colored differently. That's because they are members of certain groups. I've streamlined the groups a bit better and the colors are back. You can tell what groups a colored username belongs to on the index page. There is a key at the bottom, above the chatbox.



Reorganization:

I didn't do much here, I just moved a forum or two to a more suitable section. I also split the NPC listing into separate topics to make the characters easier to search.

Also, in addition to the update, there is a post-update update

You can now roll dice when you post. And I've fixed it so you can generate a player stats thing. It serves little serious purpose, it's just funny. That's what the HP bar over to the side of the posts are. lol

Here's how to use the dice though:

Don't do quick reply. go to the actual "Post Reply" button at the top or bottom of the topic. Underneath the typing Field is the Dice Rolls.
Select which die you want to roll, then select how many times you want to roll it. Clicking the plus sign adds another die to roll. you can roll .... a lot of dice. Even over 35. But really.... why would you need to?

The dice rolls will appear in a second post right after the one you type. Dice rolls do not count as double posting unless you do it twice in a row.
