Name of Race: Demon


Physical Description: There are thoughts that demons are not just simply creatures, but an existence that even the Gods despise. One particular common belief is that they are the unholy combination of animals, monsters, and humans. Characteristically speaking they are said to be almost human like in appearance but they have at least one of the following:

Pointy ears, fur, snouts/muzzles, horns, hooves, forked-tongue, glowing eyes, red-eyes, sharp fangs/teeth, claws, prehensile tails, extreme voices (i.e. extremely sweet, extremely scary), special scents (i.e. alluring/repulsive/confused) and/or wings. No real fixed description is able to be given since demons have been known to have all sorts of attributes and vary from family to family. This often leads to problems of wrongly placed accusations and misnomers.


Racial attributes/abilities/weaknesses: Just like their various types of appearance, each demon has its own inborn ability. No demon is the same which makes such things as fighting one a little more than difficult if you believe that it has the same abilities/weakness as its cousin twice removed. The one constant is their ability to create a blinding darkness as well as having a more than excellent night vision.

However, one common weakness that demons share would be intolerance for bright, noon-day light and most anything that is sanctified. Of course this isn’t to say you can throw holy-water on any one you find and they’ll simply melt away. Much like the varying appearance, this weakness also has various affects. One demon just might turn into a smelly pile of goo while another demon will only suffer light burns.


Social structure/Lifestyle: They do not play well with others. Since most demons tend to adopt an arrogant nature, they cannot stand being around other demons as well as any other races. There have been many occasions of a demon couple getting together, but the relationships hardly ever lasts past having a child or two...if they have children.

Socially, they are very hard to get along with. The prettier the demon, the worse their personality; the same can be said in regards to strength. When they’re both pretty and strong, you probably don’t want to even try a simple hello.

There have been cases of other demons subjugating other demons as well as humans. Rumors also circulate of a method for humans to gain control over demons.


Growth and Development: (IE: sexual maturity age) Demons age slowly. Their childhood lasts for at least 30 years (ages nb-10 in human years), their teenage years last another 30 (ages 10-20 in human years), and past that, it’s anyone’s guess. When they begin to look to be about 20 or so, they stay looking like that for at least a few hundred years.

There are assumptions that demons are able to look however old they want to look. If they want to remain young, they remain young. If we want to look like old hags, they can very well do so. As for life spans, who knows? Rumors speculate they can live for thousands of thousands of years.


Habitats/Locations found: Since demons don’t really like each other and are essentially hermits, they tend to be very nomadic. They are restless, hate crowds, and only go to cities and towns when absolutely necessary, or if they just want to play around. Typically speaking, they like places that are wet, cloudy, cold, or moderately warm with little sun.


Battle Preferences: They don’t fight fair. Ever. They like to pick off the weakest before moving on to the strongest and use whatever dirty tactics possible. Magic users tend to be the first to go.


Other Info: The name “Demon” is a term that most humans use to refer to deadly animals or rampaging creatures but no one really knows what they are or if they are in fact something real.

Their personality is thought to be cunning, they live off of lies and everything they do brings evil. It is even said that just being in a
demon’s presence brings a life’s worth of bad luck and/or instantaneous death.

Rumors also state that demons are not only born through a mother and father, but are bred from ill feelings or intents of others. It is said that either the demon simply gains its own personification because of the
intensity of hatred or the person holding to these feelings is consumed and becomes the demon.

Since none have ever really seen a demon or have ever had the courage to actually go out and find one, their existence is purely fictional and taboo to discuss in public places.

As to how their being ever came into speculation, it is guessed that they were created for children’s stories as threats to keep the little kitties in bed at night.
