Unicorn

Unicorns are sagely, elusive creatures. Typically silvery white in color, (or some other light color) Unicorns resemble thin, deerlike horses with a single spiraled horn on their foreheads. They have lion-like tails, cloven hoofs, and black eyes. Generally, they hide in forests and travel in herds of 10 to 16.

Unicorns appear in stories frequently, but rarely do they appear to those who do not value the forest as more than the trees and wildlife. Because they only show themselves to virgins, they are seen as the guardians of chastity and images of them are often placed above the beds and bedroom doors of young girls and unwed maidens. They dislike being ridden, bridled, or fenced in. And despise those who mistreat their forests.

Despite the common conception of the unicorns as pacifistic guardians of the woodlands, they are actually quite ferocious defenders and have been on occasion reported to be the culprits behind stabbing and cutting related injuries/deaths in forests.

Unicorn spirits can be summoned by those who have been given a piece of the unicorn’s body by the unicorn and have it on their person at the time of summoning.

The healing abilities unicorns are said to have are not myths. They are practically infused with energy directly from the Life domain and can fully heal an injured or sick individual. Unicorn parts are sometimes used for healing remedies and potions, or as components in healing spells—though such parts are rare and so hard to come by (especially legally) and are always extremely expensive. Unicorn blood is the most potent restorative substance on Evion. For some reason, the famous healer, Luzu Elensar is known to have a way of obtaining it.
