Name: Chamreen;

A.K.A. : Nightfiends, Terrors, Bogies;

Source: creations of necromancers; natural animals are twisted and tortured by necromancers, they are bound to the necromancer’s will, source animals can be as small as mice and birds, largest Nightfiends known to exist were made from bears, most necromancers that are willing to discuss this creature openly believe that human Chamreen are possible to create but the draw on the necromancer’s power and will would drive them insane or kill them;

Encountered: only at night, so far;

Uses: terrorizing, collecting reagents, assassination;

Fighting style: depends mostly on the creating necromancer; common “enhancements” to the source animal are: strength, extra teeth and claws, poisons, sonic weapons (mostly deafening screeches) and entangling abilities (mostly in the form of webs); hide in shadows really well, but even faint light will illuminate their eyes;

Weaknesses: Light; if caught out in direct sunlight will dissolve into a mangled corpse of the source animal; Time; as abominable distortions of the gods’ creations they are only able to exist for a brief time, generally less than a week for a strong necromancer; Water (for small dog or smaller source animals); for some reason pouring water on a smaller nightfiend will “cure” it, ending the transformation;

Special notes: these creatures’ strengths are scalable, usually the smaller the creature is the easier it is to destroy; directly attached to the will of the creating necromancer, if the necromancer is distracted or creates too many Chamreen or is simply too weak to control them the magic sustaining them will be destroyed;
